The Lewisville Blackhawks had a respectable showing this weekend during the Lewisville Minor Hockey Association recreational tournament
The Blackhawks lost their 1st game of the tournament in a barn burner, 3-2 versus the Dieppe Memramcook Canadian’s.  The Blackhawks pulled their goalie with 42 seconds left, but couldn’t convert to tie the game.  Marissa Delaney was a game changer winning player of the game for the hawks.
In its second game, the Blackhawks dominated from start the finish the Sackville Rangers, beating the club 10-1.  Mario Chevarie, the player of the game, showed off his skill netting 4 goals and adding 1 assit.
In its final game, which would have determined if the Hawks would advance to the semi-finals, the Hawks met a very strong Bouctouche team.  After a scoreless game for much of the 1st period, the Ice Breakers scored with 1:43 seconds left in frame, which seem to be a game changer.  From there, the team from Bouctouche dominated the Hawks, and wouldn’t look back.  However Matt Eagles, player of the game for the Hawks, managed to score late 2 goals in a span of 1 minute in the third to give the fans some hope for the next game,
Da coach
